Today we delivered a statement of principles for deficit reduction from 314 Ohio organizations to Congress. State and local human service agencies, managed care, a nursing home lobby, and family farms all came together to tell Congress and the Super Committee not to increase poverty or income inequality as it develops a 10-year debt-reduction plan.

Advocates for Ohio's Future is grateful that you and your organization, . took the time to sign on and help circulate this important statement. Thanks to all of the organizations that signed on to the statement.

The principles were delivered to the D.C., Columbus, Cincinnati, and Toledo offices of Senator Rob Portman, who serves on the Super Committee, and were emailed to Ohio's entire Congressional delegation. Read the statement of principles, the list of 42 statewide and 272 local signatories, and our news release.

Before hand-delivering the letters, small groups of advocates, consumers, and faith allies shared our message with the media. Thanks to Public News Service for its advance coverage.

We are grateful to have you stand with us.
