Will you take 5 minutes to send one email and make five calls to make sure the Ohio Senate restores Medicaid expansion in the state budget (see the instructions below)?
As I stressed yesterday, it's critical that our lawmakers know that inaction and delay is bad for Ohio. If some form of healthcare expansion isn't restored in the state budget, inaction will cost Ohio taxpayers, small businesses, and jobs. Inaction will prevent families and communities from getting the healthcare coverage they need to be competitive. It could ultimately cost lives.
Please follow the instructions below to help us move the Ohio Senate to restore Medicaid expansion in the Senate version of the state budget.

One Sentence Message:
“We can’t afford inaction. Please extend health coverage to 275,000 Ohioans to support Ohio families and strengthen communities. I urge you to support restoring the expansion of Medicaid in the state budget.”
“I’m calling to urge Senator (insert Sen’s name) to extend health coverage to 275,000 Ohioans in the Senate version of the budget. If we choose not to extend Medicaid, Ohio will lose $2.4 billion ($13 billion over seven years) of Ohioans’ federal tax dollars that could provide healthcare coverage and jobs for communities in Ohio. Ohio employers will be hit with $90 million in penalties and local mental health and addiction services will be at risk. We can’t afford inaction. Please extend health coverage to 275,000 Ohioans to support Ohio families and strengthen communities. I urge you to support restoring the expansion of Medicaid in the state budget.”
