Update on Medicaid Enrollment: Apply on the State Website Only

What does 138 percent of the federal poverty level look like for an individual or household?

Ohioans who are eligible to enroll in Medicaid need to apply through the state's website at www.Benefits.Ohio.gov

Because the Federal health care enrollment website is not currently communicating with the state system, Ohioans who have already applied for Medicaid through the Federal website must re-apply through the state website.

Adults with income up to 138 percent of poverty may now apply for Medicaid coverage through the state website. The chart on the right side shows income eligibility limits for different household sizes.

It is estimated that more than 60,000 Ohioans have applied for Medicaid through the Federal website who will need to re-apply through the state website.

Please share this information with your networks and your family, friends and colleagues. We need your help to let people who are eligible for Medicaid know that they must apply at www.Benefits.Ohio.gov.

Thank you for spreading the word.
