You are invited to a webinar tomorrow, April 11 from 9:00 – 10:00 am to learn more about opportunities to strengthen families and communities in the Mid-biennium Review (MBR).
The House passed 10 bills yesterday afternoon and evening, with nine related to the MBR. House Bill 483 (HB 483) includes additional support for child welfare and adult protective services. It also preserves funding for Federally Qualified Health Centers, creates a Workforce Training Pilot Program for low income Ohioans, and reforms child care eligibility.
The purpose of the webinar is to learn more about the budget and policy changes in HB 483 and find out ways to take action. With the legislative break coming up, we will share resources to help you have conversations with your state lawmakers while they are back in your district.
You will hear from a number of statewide experts, including:
- Gayle Channing Tenenbaum, Director of Policy & Governmental Affairs, Public Children Services Association of Ohio (PCSAO)
- Joel Potts, Executive Director of the Ohio Job & Family Services Directors’ Association (OJFSDA)
- Katie Kelly, Director of groundWork
- Zach Schiller, Research Director, Policy Matters Ohio
We need your help to build support for investments in families and communities across the state.
