Today, we're asking you to make two calls in support of pregnant women and women with breast and cervical cancer in Ohio.
The administration’s proposed cuts to Medicaid eligibility for pregnant women and women diagnosed with breast and cervical cancer who have incomes between 138-200% of the federal poverty level puts these women at risk of being unable to access needed medical treatment promptly.
1. Act Now: Make Two Calls to Support Health Care Today
We need you to help us tell legislators that these proposed cuts are a bad idea. If you believe low-income women deserve access to health care give the following Representatives a call today:
- Finance Committee Chair, Representative Ryan Smith at (614) 466-1366, and
- Finance Subcommittee on Health and Human Services Chair, Representative Robert Sprague at (614) 466-3819
When you call:
- Ask them to restore the cuts to Medicaid eligibility for pregnant women and women diagnosed with breast and cervical cancer.
2. Log Your Call
Click here to log your call so we can track how many calls Representatives received in opposition to proposed cuts to Medicaid eligibility for Ohio's low-income women. Logging your calls also helps us share your advocacy work with the media, lawmakers and other supporters.
If you've already made your two calls, thank you! We hope you'll share this call to action with your network.
Thank you for helping us advocate for health care access today.
