Advocates for Ohio's Future wants all Ohioans to be able to afford the basics, which includes food, housing, utilities, and health care. You know that access to healthy food is essential, but did you know that millions of Ohioans, including 1 in 4 Ohio children, struggle with food insecurity?
Help us advocate for a healthy Ohio today by saying "no" to hunger. We need you to call state legislators today and tell them that you support a modest funding increase for programs that provide healthy food to millions of Ohioans.
Join Ohioans saying NO to hunger
Today, Ohioans who care about hunger are calling on the state's House Finance, Health and Human Services Subcommittee members to increase the amount of healthy food available to food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters and the over two million Ohioans they fed last year.
Our partner, The Ohio Association of Foodbanks is asking for a modest increase of less than $0.83 cents per person, per month served by their network. This would mean 56 million meals next year for Ohioans who are working to get past hard times.
