Sundermeyer to Lead Advocates for Ohio’s Future

COLUMBUS – Advocates for Ohio’s Future (AOF) Co-chairs Mark Davis and Col Owens announce that, after a serious review and interview process, the Executive Committee of AOF has confirmed the selection of Bill Sundermeyer as the new State Director. Sundermeyer has been an active member of the health and human services coalition for many years, recently chairing the coalition’s public policy committee.

“As a coalition member, Bill has demonstrated a passion for eliminating poverty and improving the lives of all Ohioans,” said Davis. “We look forward to continuing that work together under Bill’s leadership.”

Sundermeyer brings a significant resumé to the work of AOF, including many years of advocacy experience in Ohio, other states and Washington, D.C. Most recently he served for ten years as Associate State Director for Advocacy of AARP.

“Bill brings considerable advocacy experience to Advocates for Ohio’s Future, as well as an understanding of Ohio’s health and human service programs,” said Owens. “We are confident he will be a strong voice for smart public policy as he works with AOF’s diverse coalition partners, the legislature and administration to further our mission.”

Sundermeyer replaces Will Petrik who stepped down from the State Director role in December to run for Columbus City Council.
