The 30-day window for public comment on the state's "Healthy Ohio" Medicaid waiver begins on April 15th. Start planning now to submit comments or stories during the open comment period.
The Director of the Ohio Department of Medicaid, John McCarthy, announced that the State of Ohio will release the Medicaid Waiver language for public comment on April 15. The State of Ohio public comment period will last for 30 days until May 13, 2016, after which the application will be submitted to the federal Centers for Medicaid and Medicare.
If approved, the waiver would affect a million low-income Ohioans by requiring that they establish Health Savings Accounts and pay annually to maintain their Medicaid coverage.
