The Ohio House's version of the 2018-19 state budget bill passed last week was a mixed bag. Advocates for Ohio's Future supports the House's choice to invest in a response to the state's opiate crisis, including increased funding for county children services, bolster funding for the Ohio Housing Trust Fund, and maintain coverage for the Medicaid expansion population. However, the bill missed other opportunities to invest in programs and supports that strengthen families, communities, and the economy.
