Advocates for Ohio's Future News Highlights

We are excited to anounce AOF's new leadership team heading into the next General Assembly. Tara Britton, Director of Public Policy and Advocacy at the Center for Community Solutions and Steve Wagner, Executive Director of the Universal Health Care Action Network (UCHAN) Ohio will succeed Mark Davis, President of Ohio Provider Resource Association (OPRA) and Lisa Hamler Fugitt, Executive Director of the Ohio Association of Foodbanks as co-chairs of our nearly 500 member health and human service coalition.

Tara and Steve are long time members of AOF and are both passionate, smart and committed health and human services advocates. We look forward to their leadership!

  • Policy Matters Ohio (Report): Refundable tax credits for working families put kids first
    • "As policymakers consider more tax cuts during the lame duck session, one key reform is missing: refundable tax credits for working Ohioans. Ohio has no refundable tax credits for working people. Instead the state spends millions to provide refundable credits to certain business owners and tens of millions for corporations. Refundable credits such as the federal Earned Income Tax Credit send much-needed income to workers."
